2022 Year End Summary

My goal at the beginning of the year was to run one race each month. Due to travel, poor training, a bout with Covid and an ice storm I did not complete a December race. 11 of 12 months with a race though produced a year with more racing than I've done in many, many years.

A few of the races were run hard, a few were just to finish. One was a sprint triathlon with a swim in a fast down river current. One was a 10k, the rest 5ks. Overall it was a successful year. The goal was for motivation not PRs or hard efforts.

I searched for out-of-the-way race, in small towns. It was an opportunity to explore Oregon and to enjoy the small town excitement of local events. My favorites were Spray 5k during their Memorial Day rodeo weekend and the triathlon in Agness. I enjoy the informal and low-key nature of those small community events.

Overall 2022 running was a success and enjoyable. On to 65/50!
