November's race

November I signed up for two race, good thing I did. One was the 6k Run'ucopia in Salem, the other was the virtual edition of the I'm Thankful Four, my best friend Marky's fundraising event for his daughter's memorial scholarship.

Both were as you might guess, Thanksgiving day runs. The Run'ucopia started at 9:00, the virtual one anytime, but for efficiency and because I don't run that far any more, one run would count for both.

The night before I woke at 2:30am and couldn't get back to sleep. I got up and read until about 5 when I laid down on the couch and fell asleep until 7.  Still tired I got ready for the 9am start time. I mistakenly returned to the couch. Next thing I knew it was 9:30. So much for Run'ucopia.

After a couple cups of coffee I laced up my new Hokas and started the virtual Thankful Four. Decided I'd run through downtown to Riverfront Park where the race started and finished. Arrived just in time to cross the finish line before they packed it away.

Happy Thanksgiving, my wish is that you are as blessed as I am.
